Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in the San Francisco Bay area that acquires, markets and sells brand name prescription drugs through our U.S. direct sales force and international distributors. We focus on the treatment of central nervous system diseases which are served by a limited group of neurologists. IT Systems Technician

The IT Systems Technician will serve as a key member of IT team.  This position is responsible for all aspects of network administration including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software, and office systems.  This position will also occasionally provide assistance on Help Desk activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support)
  • Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications
  • Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources
  • Document workload and all troubleshooting within the work order system in real time

SKILLS:

  • Experience with Windows servers and desktop products
  • Experience with Unix\Linux servers and user administration.  Experience with setting up remote access for users
  • Ability to support networked printers and photocopiers
  • Working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server, and desktop technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good problem solving abilities
  • Working Knowledge of VMware environments
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-v environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server
  • Working knowledge of Symantec Backupexe server

REQUIREMENTS:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an IT administrator with 7-10 years total experience in IT working on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.  Prior experience working in a team environment providing excellent customer service;
